AUDIOLOGY AND HEARING

Tympanometry

The movement of the eardrum and the pressure in the middle ear are measured. It is used in particular where fluid in the middle ear is suspected.

How the procedure runs

  1. 1

We listen to when the complaint began, how it has developed and how it affects daily life.

  2. 2

An ear, nose and throat examination is carried out, with audiological measurement and endoscopic review added where needed.

  3. 3

The right approach, duration and review interval for tympanometry are agreed together with the patient.

  4. 4

The procedure is completed, and the follow-up appointment and home care notes are shared in writing.
